In spite of the devil’s tricks the people of God are Coming Out! The Church is defined as those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.  It is a description of people who are in Christ Jesus. It does not mean we are totally mature, because once we are in Christ we walk not after the flesh but, after the Spirit.  That is why now you have a struggle.  Before you would just do what you wanted to do.  Now you are thinking about it. It is because the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death, so that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.  Satan is playing mind games, but you are coming out!  The real you is coming out.  Just come out!

Bishop Jones explained the presentation of the Gospel introduces so much internal conflict that Paul recognizes the need to clarify and to define the opposing forces and the influences that they have on our mind.  He has to clarify because it is indicative to our salvation for us to think properly about where we are at every stage in our walk with God.  The place he is addressing is the mind because he realizes that it becomes the battleground between all spiritual and carnal expressions.  He identifies the fact that the mind is the place where we either win or lose our battles.
 
On the one hand we have the Spirit and on the other hand we have the flesh.  Where the Spirit is we have revelation. Where the flesh is we have situations.  We have God operating through the Spirit through revelation and on the flesh side we have Satan operating on the flesh through situations. The adversary wants to cause us to focus our senses, which connect us to our situations, to the point where we look at what we are going through and capitulate in our mind. He is working not just to hurt you and walk away, but he wants the pain to continue to linger in your mind so that even when you are out of the situation, the situation isn’t out of your mind.  Satan deals with where you are coming from and revelation deals with where you are going. It takes a renewed mind to focus where God would have you to focus. The Lord will give you a word and He expects you, by faith, to believe on His word and by faith through His Word, control your mind that is being battled by Satan in your circumstance.  This war is taking place in your mind but You are Coming Out!
